i thought the movie did a good job of defining the real reason of teaching. from what i understood it explained that a "highly qualified" teacher is someone who tries to bring out the full potential in a student. a teacher is someone who tries to show the student who they really are. the best example of this is when robert redford said, "i'm trying to sell you to you." the rest of the movie was great as well. it's unfortunate that the two soldiers died in combat, but at least they "engaged" themselves by fighting for their country. what i took out of this overall is that even if you fail at something, the least you can do is try.
